Probably not that many.
Is it because we're talked at?
Is it because we have a million "other" things to do?
Is it because it's more tiring than teaching… and all you're doing usually is sitting?
Is it all of the above?
Well, I try to go into every "In-Service Day" with the mindset of try to get at least 1 thing out of it that I'll use in my classroom.
For this particular day, I was talking with some of the teachers at my grade level, and there were some pretty good ideas that were discussed. I wrote some down, and will try to implement some.
However, I was still pretty tired at the end of the day… and we sat for most of it.
You'd think I'd feel all rested up for tomorrow when the students come back.
However, I was exhausted… and just want to go teach.
Thank goodness I get to do that on Tuesday.
