Unfortunately, we've had a string of bad news in our family over the past 5 or 6 months, and it's been difficult for me to write about all of the wonderful things that my students did at the end of the year because of this.
I won't tell you about all of the things that happened to us, but I did want you to know that we're OK. My wife Melissa and I are still grieving over the loss of our unborn child, and that grieving will never go away. What turned into a beautiful miracle back in February when we found out...turned into probably the hardest 3 weeks of our lifetime. The support that we received when all of this was happening was tremendous. Talking about it with our family and friends was the best therapy. Again, thank you.
Still, I wouldn't wish what we went through upon anyone.
However, I do want you to know that this time period in our lives has made us stronger as a family ... and it has fueled me even more to get this powerful message across to everyone who would like to learn about it. Everyone is going to go through some type of heartache, loss, or sadness.
It's just a part of life.
So, if you're ready... then I'm ready to "get back up on the horse" and grow together.
Life throws us curveballs... and you better know how to "hit the curve."
I'll try to help as best I can (even if I never did play baseball).
