After reading it, you'll probably have a better understanding of "why I do... what I do."
It all started when my father left the house at about 9 months old. Being a true believer that everything happens for a reason, it has made me into the man / father / husband / teacher / coach / referee / entrepreneur / friend / ... that I am today.
Looking back, I hated Father's Day growing up.
Not being able to "make a card" in school, or "throw a baseball" when I got home, or "watch a male role model" in the house was very difficult for me. It took its toll both emotionally and physically. I still struggle with it a little to this day, but have definitely learned how to handle it better, now... that I am a father of 4 wonderful children.
Also, I realize now that "hate" is such a strong word...a word that I rarely use presently, and try to teach others (especially my own children) not to use it as well.
It is such an "unforgiving" word.
Therefore, as I look back on all of the male role models in my life... from Mr. Hobson, to Mr. Christopher, to Mr. Clark, to Mr. Cerne, to Mr. Wiens, to Mr. Samarra, to Mr. Dye, to Mr. Fonti, to Mr. Symula, to Mr. Ambrosetti, to Mr. Grates, to Mr. Cassidy, to Mr. Benton, to Mr. Kenzie, to Mr. Dugan, to Mr. Cybulski, to Mr. Corell, to Mr. Waag, to Mr. Lawrence, to Mr. Sikorski, .... I take great joy in knowing that each of these great men... including my very own father-in-law (Mr. John C. Brown)... have helped shaped me to who I am today.
What do they all have in common, you ask? You guessed it ...
They are ALL in education.
Educating our youth is such a huge responsibility... I do NOT take it lightly. My path was destined to turn out this way. I firmly believe that, now.
That's why I've developed the P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. Program... not only to make a little bit of money... but to also make a DIFFERENCE in so many students' lives.
A difference that all of the men (and many more not mentioned above) have made on me throughout all of these years.
If I, personally, could make a difference in just ONE teacher's classroom (aside from my own), I would consider it a huge success.
It would be great to see more classrooms take what I've learned through these great men in my life (and to note... I've had some wonderful women role models in my life, too)...and to teach THEIR students the sound principles of what LIFE has to offer.
Because when it comes down to it... do we need just ONE day to celebrate "Father's Day"...or just ONE day to celebrate "Mother's Day?"
I proclaim... that EVERY day is Father's Day, and EVERY day is Mother's Day!!!
That's how I've been living MY life ever since I was nine months old... and I'm not going to stop now.
So, who's going to jump on my "POWERFUL" bus and help lots of students?
I tell you what... it's a great ride.
Oh, and by the way, Dad... if you're out there reading this ...
"I forgive you."
Sign up now for the POWERFUL PROGRAM... and make a difference, too.
